This Week in Fresca

  • Fresca-induced illness causes writer to advocate war with Canada.
  • Apparently people are making up mixed drinks just to get some Fresca. Specifically, "[t]he Paloma cocktail, a mix of tequila and Fresca(R) or Squirt(R), leverages the growing trend of grapefruit popularity in the US."
  • One Fresca fan apparently doesn't realize that Fresca is caffeine free
A little nervous to wander off for a weekend by myself, I hopped in Rhonda the Honda, swinging by a convenience store for caffeine/nicotine. Lo and behold, the had Fresca. Fresca! I love Fresca.
  • Slate has apparently realized that Fresca is a great asset to leverage when creating long-form features. Consequently, they are sending all of their staffers -- one-by-one -- on four to six week "Fresca Fellowships" with the goal of having them come back with a long-form piece for the site. Hopefully more businesses will follow Slate's lead and embrace the joys of Fresca.
