Is anyone else freaked out by the concept of face transplants? I saw the headlines yesterday about this, but I haven't been able to read any of the articles because the whole concept just sends chills down my spine every time I think about it.

I read one of the articles today, and I have to say, someone having their face mauled by a dog is the part that freaks me out -- a face transplant is nothing compared to that.

besides, its not like the recipient would end up looking like the donor, right? they're only transplanting the surface tissue, and if I understand correctly, it's the bone structure underneath that really defines your appearance.
