Veronica Mars is still the best show on TV. By far. If you missed tonight's episode you need to go download it.

I admit, I was initially concerned by Naima's presence on the show, but all the new mysteries and intrigue more than made up for that spotty bit of UPN-mandated casting. I especially liked the little reminder at the end telling us that we still don't know what was up with Weevil and Lily.

This show is just too good.

If your TiVo-like device isn't recording "My Name Is Earl" you should stop reading this and go correct that problem. "Earl" is the funniest sitcom I've seen this year. "How I Met Your Mother" also seems promising, and "Arrested Development" is still good for a few laughs, but I'm afraid it's just too wacky and may have jumped the shark. I mean, how many incestuous relationships can one show really have? So add "Earl" to your TiVo and if you missed the first episode tonight, head out to your favorite torrent site and download it.

St. Louis personal injury lawyers Brown & Crouppen have somehow persuaded William Shatner to do one of their TV ads. It's weird, he just comes on, does the pitch, and that's it. Shatner is on a primetime TV show and is even up for an Emmy right now and he's doing local ads for ambulance chasers? I guess he must be hard up.

No spoilers, but I am going to discuss Lost and how it sucks so don't read this if you don't want to.

Okay, if my contacts know what they're talking about, I now know what is under the hatch. I'm not going to ruin the suspense for you, but if you guessed that there would be more mysteries generated from the exploration of the thing under the hatch and no real answers given you would not be wrong.

I've come to firmly believe that the writers are making this up as they go along and have no idea how they are going to resolve all of this. And by "all of this" I mean the show, every story arc in the show, and every minute little mystery they've presented us with so far.

Why does Bush only give primetime addresses during important TV weeks? He last did this during May sweeps, and now he's going to interrupt the chain of new shows playing tonight. It's like he wants to prove to the networks that he's more important than their shows (although they'll all take a ratings hit for airing his address -- not to mention the lost advertising that giving up 30 minutes in primetime costs them).
