Man, I have totally neglected this blog of late. I have been pretty diligent about updating the sidebar though. I added a new feature, the daily links, that are simply links to page I've found while browsing. And I reworked the flickr stuff to only display my most recent "best of" photos on this page.

Anyway, since most of what I do is work, I think I'm going to do a series of posts about work. I'm going to be careful here and not give too much aside from general impressions away, but I have two topics in mind. The first one (which I'll be posting as soon as this is done) will discuss how to be a highly skilled, but ultimately unsuccessful software engineer. (Hint: there are some things that are more important than an in-depth knowledge of the latest open-source framework). I think I'll also put up a post on how to run an unsuccessful project. (Hint: gathering requirements is the key to success.)

As I was typing this I had two of my afternoon meetings canceled, so I might have time to also throw out some details about the Great Roommate Swap of 2005. But maybe I should do the work that I'm getting paid to do instead.
