He was born in St. Louis, grew up in southern Indiana, and returned to St. Louis to attend Washington University. He hasn't managed to escape yet. I'm a bit confused as to why the movie industry is in crisis. I think there are very few other industries that haven't seen a reduction in sales since 1962. At some point you just have to accept that your product might have come close to a saturation point. And there are slow years in every industry that don't get written up as a major crisis. I guess this is just a part of our culture of celebrity: we obsess over even the boring details of celebrities' careers.
