Microsoft announced their new search engine yesterday, but day two isn't looking to good for them -- every search I do results only in the following message:

This site is temporarily unavailable, please check back soon.

Meanwhile, on the same day that Microsoft announced their new search engine, google put the smack down by announcing that they had nearly doubled the number of pages they index; they're now up in excess of 8 billion pages.

As for me, I'm still leaning toward A9's search engine, if for no other reason than the amazon.com discount you get for using it.

You get a discount for using A9? How? (I'm not really familiar with it)

Amazon gives you a pi/2 percent discount if you use a9 regularly. Its just applied automatically by amazon. You'll see it added to the amazon logo and stuff when you browse on amazon.com.

To clarify, you must be logged into A9.com with your amazon.com account when you do your searching in order to get the discount added on amazon.com.

I had known about this for a while but didn't purchase anything from Amazon until last week, and was pleasantly surprised to find that the discount also applies to shipping as well. Sure, the discount was only 45 cents in total, but it's a nice gesture on their part.
