David is an occasional blogger, software engineer, Nintendo fanboy, liberal, news magazine addict, voracious TiVo user, and bibliophile. He was born in St. Louis, grew up in southern Indiana, and returned to St. Louis to attend Washington University. He hasn't managed to escape yet. He's a fan of free wine tastings, too many tv shows to name, and eating out. David makes his living developing web applications used internally by his employer. He doesn't blog about work because he's heard too many stories about that causing workplace troubles. There's more on the about page. |

I'm sitting on the floor of my bedroom right now. Not necessarily the coolest thing in the world, but its something I don't have the space to do in my apartment in St. Louis. Anyway, I'm installing Windows on an old computer that we had sitting in our junk room. My parents are tired of it taking up space, and I don't really need a third computer, so I'm going to give this one to my friend Jared.
What have I been up to this week? On Monday I drove into town, had dinner with my folks, and went out to see Old School with Luke, John, and Cuz. On Tuesday I went out to dinner with Luke and Jared, and hung out with them after dinner. Yesterday was my dad's birthday, so I went out with him and my mom to eat at Cork and Cleaver. I've also been running a bunch of errands while I've been home. Tonight, Jared and I are going out for drinks at some unspecified location.
I'll update you again later this week. I don't know when I'll be back in St. Louis. Maybe Monday, maybe Tuesday.

Now I don't think there is such a thing as too many computers. I have my desktop, my 2 servers and my laptop, and that is just in my room. In our house we have 3 desktops, my two servers, 4 laptops and my brother has a computer in his car.
