David is an occasional blogger, software engineer, Nintendo fanboy, liberal, news magazine addict, voracious TiVo user, and bibliophile. He was born in St. Louis, grew up in southern Indiana, and returned to St. Louis to attend Washington University. He hasn't managed to escape yet. He's a fan of free wine tastings, too many tv shows to name, and eating out. David makes his living developing web applications used internally by his employer. He doesn't blog about work because he's heard too many stories about that causing workplace troubles. There's more on the about page. |

yes they did. youll notice the article doest say which students (because that would have really made my day), but I consider my day made enough as is.
now I just hope that my interviewer from APL happened to read cnn this morning.
(p.s. when you pull a muscle in your neck, how long exactly before the intense stabbing pain every time you turn your head to the left stops? because I hope the answer is "soon.")

It made my day, too. Good luck at your interview.

I've found that the best way to stop the stiff neck from hurting is to twist it is far as you can in the direction that causes the most pain. This way when you accidentally turn slightly that way in the future it won't be nearly as painful as your own forcible twisting.
But then again I also treated a broken thumb by playing basketball and never seeking any professional treatment, so I may not be the best person to dispense medical advice. Another reason I can't be "Doctor Chris".

Yeah...the neck thing sucks. Hurt it to the right once, screamed every time I would try to parallel park...which ended up being often somehow. Hope the interview went well.
