He was born in St. Louis, grew up in southern Indiana, and returned to St. Louis to attend Washington University. He hasn't managed to escape yet. He's a fan of free wine tastings, too many tv shows to name, and eating out. David makes his living developing web applications used internally by his employer. As if I needed any more proof that my computer here at work is in need of some upgrades, when I added a wallpaper to my desktop today, it pretty much brought this computer to its knees. Minimizing and restoring windows is now slow and blocky (i.e., you can watch small blocks of the window disappear when you minimize it), and it takes at least 15-20 seconds for the icons on my desktop (there are only about 10 of them) to show up when I minimize all windows. I'm going to have to make my need for a slightly better computer very apparent during my presentation tomorrow. Hopefully that will persuade the right people that I need a faster computer (or at least more RAM in this one).
