David is an occasional blogger, software engineer, Nintendo fanboy, liberal, news magazine addict, voracious TiVo user, and bibliophile. He was born in St. Louis, grew up in southern Indiana, and returned to St. Louis to attend Washington University. He hasn't managed to escape yet. He's a fan of free wine tastings, too many tv shows to name, and eating out. David makes his living developing web applications used internally by his employer. He doesn't blog about work because he's heard too many stories about that causing workplace troubles. There's more on the about page. |

I'm here in St. Louis now. In fact, I'm in the ACM Lounge burning some CDs and typing this on the computer that I left set up in the ACM office. As I type on the keyboard, I do find myself wondering if leaving the computer here was a good idea. I spent the first five minutes I was here scraping some kind of sticky goo off some of the keys, and I should probably spend some more time making sure I've gotten it all off. If I have time this weekend, I'm going to pack the computer up and take it back to Evansville with me. I've had too many keyboards ruined to let it hapen again.
