Chris mentioned that today was Rusty Staub Bobblehead day in Montreal. Rusty Staub may not have been a stellar player, and he certainly didn't play with Montreal for very long, but at least the Expos are avoiding some of the embarrassment that Tampa Bay has been experiencing. First, Tampa had to cancel their June 2nd Bobblehead night because the player being honored, Jason Tyner, had been demoted to the minors. (Tampa is already 20.5 games out of first, so you have to wonder why they didn't just keep Tyner in the majors until after the Bobblehead promotion. It's not like they're going to make it to the playoffs.) Then, after the Tyner incident, they had to change their September 8th Bobblehead doll from Toby Hall to Steve Cox because of a similar situation. Namely because Mr. Hall had also been demoted to the minors.

I guess the Devil Rays should have just followed Montreal's example and gone with a Wade Boggs Bobblehead. It would have saved a lot of embarrassment.
