I saw Superman IV on TV last weekend. It's the one with a story by Christopher Reeve where Superman rids the world of nuclear weapons and fights Nuclear Man. What an awful, awful movie. This thing rivals Highlander II as the worst movie of the 1980s. It had crappy special effects, ordinary humans being carried by Nuclear Man and Superman into outer space with no ill effects, and a horrible sub-plot involving a media tycoon (think Rupert Murdock) taking over the Daily Planet and installing his daughter as publisher. If someone ever says to you "Hey, let's watch Superman IV: The Quest for Peace," you should lock him or her in a small room with a mountain lion (or a cougar or puma) until he or she recants their suggestion.
