David is an occasional blogger, software engineer, Nintendo fanboy, liberal, news magazine addict, voracious TiVo user, and bibliophile. He was born in St. Louis, grew up in southern Indiana, and returned to St. Louis to attend Washington University. He hasn't managed to escape yet. He's a fan of free wine tastings, too many tv shows to name, and eating out. David makes his living developing web applications used internally by his employer. Did I mention yesterday that one of the guys from my high school that I met at the riverboat was out on bail awaiting allocution after he reached a plea bargain in a drug sale case? He's going to be doing 18 months in a federal penitentiary as part of his deal. I'm torn on this: if I were about to spend the next 18 months behind bars, I'm not sure that I would be spending my time at the riverboat.
