David is an occasional blogger, software engineer, Nintendo fanboy, liberal, news magazine addict, voracious TiVo user, and bibliophile. He was born in St. Louis, grew up in southern Indiana, and returned to St. Louis to attend Washington University. He hasn't managed to escape yet. He's a fan of free wine tastings, too many tv shows to name, and eating out. David makes his living developing web applications used internally by his employer. He doesn't blog about work because he's heard too many stories about that causing workplace troubles. There's more on the about page. |

the new acm officers had their first meeting today. it started at 9:00 (dave scheduled it around "smallville") and its just now wrapping up. it took longer than I thought it would, but I think it went well. Ive been a very casual member of acm for a couple of years now, and its good to be actually involved in acm decisions now. we made a list of most of our events for next semester, and Im pretty sure that in the coming semester acm will be a lot better than it was this semester. not that that would be too hard. acm has been pretty bad this year. but I dont want to get into it, because Im not very good at ranting. dont worry, you didnt really want to hear it anyway.
