november 22, 2001 - 3:04 piem

this morning I was awakened by a loud beeping. yesterday morning, too. you see, the resident of room 205A (david warner) left his alarm clock on when he left for break. some might have found this amusing, but sleeping-michael finds very little amusing. I was forced to go to the circuit breakers in the kitchen, much as dave was forced to a couple of months ago, and kill the power to daves room. unfortunately, dave and I share a circuit, so I couldnt kill his without also killing mine. thus I had to turn the circuit back on in order to use my computer. this might not seem unfortunate until you consider a fact that I, at the time, overlooked: daves alarm clock has a back-up battery. thus, this morning, just as yesterday, I was forced to go to the circuit breaker. (I actually tried using my earplugs first, since they were right by my bed, but I could still faintly hear the alarm, and something about faint repetitive sounds prevents me from sleeping, so I eventually had to leave my bed.) at least I had the forethought to shut my computer down before killing everything this time. of course its all turned back on now, and the cycle is ready to repeat.

someone remind me to to kill the circuit to daves room tonight before bed.

oh, also, happy thanksgiving.
