David is an occasional blogger, software engineer, Nintendo fanboy, liberal, news magazine addict, voracious TiVo user, and bibliophile. He was born in St. Louis, grew up in southern Indiana, and returned to St. Louis to attend Washington University. He hasn't managed to escape yet. He's a fan of free wine tastings, too many tv shows to name, and eating out. David makes his living developing web applications used internally by his employer. He doesn't blog about work because he's heard too many stories about that causing workplace troubles. There's more on the about page. |

I received fan mail today. sort of. it came from university of missouri student, alex taft, and it was forwarded to me by the editor of the MU student news. it read:
> Hi Sarah
>
> Hey, I don't know michael dixon or how to get in touch
> with him, but I just wanted to let you know that I
> really like his comic. it is consistently humorous.
> you can forward this to him.
isnt that neat? well, I think so.
also, everyone secretly wishing that I would have written a special online-exclusive halloween edition of gloompuppy, please direct your letters of complaint to Dr. Sally Goldman and Dr. William Smart. I had hoped to write just such a comic for you all today, but because of my 441 homework (special note to all wash u cs majors: do NOT take this class) and my 550 take-home midterm (special note to Dr. Smart: do NOT give such hard take-home midterms), I was unable to do so. Im sorry; I would have loved to spend the day drawing a comic strip, but instead I spent it doing theoretical computer science problems and debugging a robot simulator. something I will be spending the rest of the night (as well as much of the early morning) on.
sigh.. back to work, I guess.
