David is an occasional blogger, software engineer, Nintendo fanboy, liberal, news magazine addict, voracious TiVo user, and bibliophile. He was born in St. Louis, grew up in southern Indiana, and returned to St. Louis to attend Washington University. He hasn't managed to escape yet. He's a fan of free wine tastings, too many tv shows to name, and eating out. David makes his living developing web applications used internally by his employer. He doesn't blog about work because he's heard too many stories about that causing workplace troubles. There's more on the about page. |

so the halloween party last night was terrible. the house was small and super crowded, and it was way too cold to stand around outside. but this is good news, because everyone I was with agreed that it was terrible, so we didnt have to stay. since I probably wasnt going to have a good time even if the house wasnt super crowded, this was good news to me. we went to steak n shake instead, and it was good, except we were still wearing our costumes. this wasnt so bad for rachel, because she went an emo-girl, so she basically looked like she was getting dinner after a "sleater-kinney" concert. but this guy we were with went as neo from the matrix, so it looked like he was getting dinner after shooting up a highschool. kaity went as crack-whore barbie, so she looked like she was, well, a drug-addicted prostitute. and ryan went as an eighties workout instructor, so he just looked dumb. as for myself.. well, it would probably have leaked out through ouranophobe anyway, so I might as well tell you.. I went as alan from gloompuppy. a little embarassing, but I figure I have to do what it takes to promote my new comic. also rachel really wanted me to. I think she just wanted to see me in eyeliner.
