august 23, 2001 - 1:24 ayem

I too had my first class of the semester today. it was introduction to political economy: microeconomics (micro), and it was pretty boring. first classes are, as a general rule, boring. this one was made even worse by the lack of a syllabus. the only good thing about a first lecture, as I see it, is learning the structure of the class: how the material is presented, how many tests there will be, how many homework assignments there are and what days they will be due, and so on. unfortunately, I will need to wait until monday to get my hands on that information since the professor didnt finish making the syllabus yet. to his credit, however, he is swiss, which was the only interesting aspect of class today. for instance, he frequently used the word "introducery" in place of "introductory." and while writing his notes onto the board he listed "spezichzation" as a benefit of exchange. as far as I know, there is no language in which that is an actual word. very amusing.

on an unrelated note, now that the school year has started back up, Ive decided that its time to bring the webcam back online. so for those of you out there who like webcams but just got tired of looking at daves armadillo and the palm of my hand, go ahead and check it out.

okay, tomorrow I have a very busy day, and I am sleepy, so I am off to bed now.
