David is an occasional blogger, software engineer, Nintendo fanboy, liberal, news magazine addict, voracious TiVo user, and bibliophile. He was born in St. Louis, grew up in southern Indiana, and returned to St. Louis to attend Washington University. He hasn't managed to escape yet. He's a fan of free wine tastings, too many tv shows to name, and eating out. David makes his living developing web applications used internally by his employer. He doesn't blog about work because he's heard too many stories about that causing workplace troubles. There's more on the about page. |

The hard drive on the server where the website I've been working on this summer was going to be crashed this morning, preventing me from putting it up. Consequently, today has been a very leisurely day. Reading the newspaper, browsing the web, drinking three root beers. That's the extent of my work day, I'm afraid.
Why has no one (well, almost no one) signed up for the contest? It's not like we're asking you to jump through hoops of fire in order to participate; all you need to do is send an email to zero@negative273.com. And I chose a prize (an amazon.com gift certificate) that doesn't require me to mail anything, which ,means the winner will probably get their prize in a timely manner. I know I gave you until 12 August to send in your name, but why don't you just go ahead and get it out of the way now.
On an entirely different topic, did any of you know that that Dragonball Z was being shown on the WB network?
