David is an occasional blogger, software engineer, Nintendo fanboy, liberal, news magazine addict, voracious TiVo user, and bibliophile. He was born in St. Louis, grew up in southern Indiana, and returned to St. Louis to attend Washington University. He hasn't managed to escape yet. He's a fan of free wine tastings, too many tv shows to name, and eating out. David makes his living developing web applications used internally by his employer. He doesn't blog about work because he's heard too many stories about that causing workplace troubles. There's more on the about page. |

I discovered a new weblog today, and through it I found this article about the Web Standards Project (WaSP). The article reflects my opinion on web standards pretty well, and I'd urge you to read it if you're interested in this type of thing. I also found a very interesting article about search engine placement on this site, so I'm pretty happy with the newest addition to the list I use for daily weblog visiting.
For all of you who entered the contest, the drawing will be held tonight. My schedule is in flux, so I can't give you an exact time, but keep your eye on the webcam tonight, because the big drawing will be live via webcam.
