The contest is over, but not without some controversy. When I drew the winning slip of paper out of the hat, I discovered that I had actually drawn two pieces of paper, one inside the other. After consulting with the judges, it was decided to award both of them with amazon.com gift certificates. So congratulations go out to Rachel Otto and Jon Polk, the two contest winners.

In happy news for all the other people who entered the contest, I found some money in the parking lot at work today, so there will be small consolation prizes for everyone else. Details about this will be announced shortly.

Frankly, I'm just glad that michael, who entered himself in this contest, didn't win. Imagine the scandal if his name had been drawn. Everyone would have assumed there was some kind of fix in place. Anyway, congrats again to the two winners. I'll be sending you your prizes from work tomorrow, so if you'd like them to go to a different email address than the one you used to enter the contest with, send me an email tonight.
