David is an occasional blogger, software engineer, Nintendo fanboy, liberal, news magazine addict, voracious TiVo user, and bibliophile. He was born in St. Louis, grew up in southern Indiana, and returned to St. Louis to attend Washington University. He hasn't managed to escape yet. He's a fan of free wine tastings, too many tv shows to name, and eating out. David makes his living developing web applications used internally by his employer. He doesn't blog about work because he's heard too many stories about that causing workplace troubles. There's more on the about page. |

Im sitting here wanting to go to bed and trying to think of what to post about, and Im coming up with nothing and feeling a little strange. today ended up being one of those days that feels like two or three. its not that particularly much happened, and I didnt even take any naps, but this morning feels very far away somehow. its strange, because youd expect me to say something like that after a very long day, but today was actually quite pleasant. Im just feeling a little disconnected at the moment. Im sure it will pass with some sleep. so even though its kind of early and I have an email I need to write and a budget to write up, I think I am going to go to bed.
but first, just to weigh in, I think it is fairly certain that bartlett intends to run for reelection. I know that they left it open, but I dont think it was supposed to be a secret. I mean, that whole hands-in-the-pockets thing bartlett did at the podium at the end was not entirely subtle.
in closing , I thought Id take this opportunity to wish luck to any of our readers who might, for whatever reason, still be in school and still have finals, perhaps two of them, tomorrow. also, any students in said position should not play any snood today, as it is a bad wicked game.
that said, good night.
