David is an occasional blogger, software engineer, Nintendo fanboy, liberal, news magazine addict, voracious TiVo user, and bibliophile. He was born in St. Louis, grew up in southern Indiana, and returned to St. Louis to attend Washington University. He hasn't managed to escape yet. He's a fan of free wine tastings, too many tv shows to name, and eating out. David makes his living developing web applications used internally by his employer. He doesn't blog about work because he's heard too many stories about that causing workplace troubles. There's more on the about page. |

Another day full of fun and exciting events. When I woke up, I watched a couple episodes of Bob Vila's Home Again (if you think, as I do, that Bob Vila is a total moron, please drop me a line so that we can share amusing anecdotes of his television career) and a few innings of Cardinals baseball. Then, around 2, michael and I went shopping for the computer speakers I mentioned in my previous post. I'm pretty happy with my new speakers. I have a big subwoofer on the floor and two thin, black speakers on my desk. michael said the new speakers were "carpalicious." [Note: micahel has never said the word "carpalicious" in his entire life, nor would he ever say "carpalicious" if asked about my new speakers. I just like the word "carpalicious." As in "boy that girl is carpalicious." (Note: the previous quote is intended to be interpreted as "boy that girl is attractive" and not as in "boy that girl is hairy.")]
After I bought my speakers michael and I went over to the quad to listen to Eve 6 perform at W.I.L.D. We only stayed for Eve 6's performance (which was excellent), but we will be posting reviews of all the W.I.L.D. performances, thanks to a guest reviewer (who will be reviewing the early bands) and some wild speculation as to what Crazytown did after we left.
After W.I.L.D. Chris Hill dropped by the suite and hung out for awhile. He spoke about his upcoming album, among other things. A complete transcript of our conversation with the acclaimed singer/songwriter will be available on this site as soon as our secretary types it up.
