David is an occasional blogger, software engineer, Nintendo fanboy, liberal, news magazine addict, voracious TiVo user, and bibliophile. He was born in St. Louis, grew up in southern Indiana, and returned to St. Louis to attend Washington University. He hasn't managed to escape yet. He's a fan of free wine tastings, too many tv shows to name, and eating out. David makes his living developing web applications used internally by his employer. I spent five hours on one homework problem tonight. It was especially frustrating because I was just doing the same thing over and over. I wasn't learning any new material, I was just using the same rule over and over, ad infinitum. It's really frustrating to be doing work just for the sake of doing work; I would prefer some other form of motivation. Well, back to work I go. I just hope the other problems don't take as long as the first problem.
